It helps to include your device, its system version, and the level number or the date of the daily board you were playing. Every board is numbered, so we can play the same one.

Common questions

• How do I play? Tap a bright tile: it goes to the tray at the top. When two alike are in the tray, both vanish. Clear the board and the tray to win. Four different tiles in the tray ends the round, and Undo takes the last one back.
• Why can I not tap a dim tile? Dim tiles are covered by a tile above, or have neighbours on both their left and right. Clear around them first. A tap on a dim tile costs nothing.
• Is every board really solvable? Yes. Each board is built from its solution backwards, and every one that ships is checked before release. If no move is left, the game offers a free shuffle, and a shuffle can never create a dead end.
• I prefer the old way, with no tray. Settings, Play, Classic pairs: tap a tile, then its twin.
• The tiles are too small. Settings, Tiles, Extra large, or pinch the board to zoom. High contrast makes the colours stronger and outlines free tiles.
• I bought Remove Ads on another device. Open the Shop and tap Restore purchases. Remove Ads is one payment, not a subscription.
• Will I lose my progress on a new phone? Progress is backed up to your own iCloud when iCloud is on, and comes back when you install the game again.

Privacy

The short version: no account and no personal information. The game shows an ad after some levels, and it counts how it is played and reports crashes so we can fix them. The full privacy policy has the detail, and the same points are in the game under Settings, Privacy.
